Interviewer: “How many times have you been married?”

Hubbard: “How many times have I been married? I’ve been married twice, and I’m very happily married just now, I have a lovely wife and I have 4 children, my first wife is dead [smiles].”

Interviewer: “What happened to your second wife?”

Hubbard: “I’d never had a second wife.”

This was the only time Hubbard allowed an outside crew to interview him.

The fact is that Hubbard had been married 3 times at the time of the interview. Why is he lying about this?

Also note that Hubbard married his second wife whilst he was still married to his first wife.
